Who are you, and how do you want to feel in this space?

What does your family need day to day?

How should your home support the way you actually live?

When design starts with you — not with the latest fad or cookie-cutter choices — the result is a space that’s timeless, personal, effortless to live in.

Hi! I’m Laura – Principal Designer, CEO, and Founder of LM Interiors.

My path to design wasn’t a straight line… but looking back, it makes perfect sense.

Before founding LM Interiors, I spent years working as a custom cabinetry designer — learning the ropes, collaborating with trades, and seeing firsthand how much craftsmanship and detail go into creating spaces that truly work for families. That experience shaped not just my technical skills, but also my belief that great design should always balance style with everyday function.

In 2019, I moved to Alberta for a season and realized how much I missed the creativity, connection, and possibility of design. When I came back to Ontario during COVID, an old friend asked me to design her walk-in closet. That one project lit a spark — and by May 2020, LM Interiors was born.

Since then, I’ve grown that spark into a full-service design studio, helping families across Waterloo Region and Southwestern Ontario create homes that are personal, functional, and beautiful to live in every day.

With an Interior Decorating Diploma (with distinction), home staging certification, and multiple design awards, I bring professional expertise to every project. But what clients remember most is how approachable the process feels. I simplify decisions, keep communication clear, and make sure the experience is as enjoyable as the end result. Because that’s what every client deserves.
